Entraînement : le groupe retenu pour affronter Brest est connu
Olympique Lyonnais will face Stade Brestois at Groupama Stadium this Wednesday at 6.45 p.m. For the occasion, Rudi Garcia has unveiled the list of players who will take part in this meeting.

We now know the group convened for the quarterfinal of the Coupe de la Ligue by Rudi Garcia. At the end of the day's training session, the OL coach delivered the list of 18 players he has chosen to retain to face Brest at Groupama Stadium on Wednesday.

We can observe the return of Bertrand Traoré to the group, as the Lyon coach announced at the press conference on Monday. We can also see that Rayan Cherki and Maxence Caqueret, scorers of their first goal in official competition, are also present, as well as Amine Gouiri. Rudi Garcia will therefore draw on this list of players to make his starting eleven and maximize the club's chances of advancing to the next round. Will he make a few rotations four days after the success in the Coupe de France in order to preserve a few players with a view to the match in Bordeaux on Saturday in the league?

Recall that the Gones entered the competition in the previous round in this final Coupe de la Ligue. They had faced Toulouse, who they managed to get beat very easily by the score of 4 goals to 1 with a double by Bertrand Traore. The Burkinabé player has also performed quite well in this competition, with four goals scored in three games played across all seasons. This match against Brest could be a great opportunity for him to get back among the goals.

In the last match against Bourg-Péronnas, Rudi Garcia had to line up his team without Bertrand Traoré, recovering from injury, and replaced him with Martin Terrier, while Joachim Andersen was with him on the bench, leaving the Denayer-Marcelo tandem in the centre of defense. Against Brest, the team will be deprived of Fernando Marçal, who will be rested. Several questions therefore arise concerning the contours of the starting eleven which will be presented Wednesday at kick-off. Some of them concern the academy players: will they have the opportunity to start or will they come on, as was the case during the previous round against Toulouse? There are lots of questions that will be answered tomorrow.
