Ciprian Tatarusanu : « Je vais essayer de tout donner »
OL goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu spoke to journalists at a press conference. He will start on Wednesday against Brest, in the quarterfinal of the Coupe de la Ligue.

The team's ambitions in the Coupe de la Ligue

“The cups are very important for the club; we are preparing as much as possible to win on Wednesday. I'll try to give everything during the match, we'll see on Wednesday. It will not be easy because Brest is a solid team, I hope we will win to get closer to a title because it is very important. "

His role in the team

"I am here at a press conference so that means that I will be on the pitch on Wednesday. I’m here to play every match, but I respect the coach’s decision. It's okay not to be happy when you're not playing. It’s a somewhat weird situation for me but it’s not a tragedy. I am not alone in this case. I do everything to give myself a chance to play by training properly. The hardest part is staying on the bench because it hurts my back (laughs). It’s difficult to not play, but it’s the coach who makes the decisions and who is responsible for the team’s situation. We always train with the three goalies together, I don't have any special training compared to the others. It's been a weird year for me, since for the coach I am the second goalkeeper. I am fine and I continue to train every day. But there are worse situations, like those of other players who are injured for example. "

The benefits of the winter break

“We started off very well with this 7-0 victory in the Coupe de France. The coach gave us two more days of vacation. It did a lot of good for the group. "

The emergence of the team's youngsters

“Rayan (Cherki), Maxence (Caqueret), Amine (Gouiri) and the other youngsters are very good players. They have to work even harder to keep a very good level of play. Rayan is also trying to chip us in training (see his goal against Bourg en Bresse) but he has not yet succeeded (laughs). "
