It was difficult but the result was there in the end for Jean-Luc Vasseur's team. Dominant from start to finish in this match against Dijon, their last of the year, Lyon had to wait until the end of the match to record their eleventh victory of the season in twelve matchdays.

Facing off against the only team that managed to take points from them in the league, in the only draw they conceded this season, the hosts had possession of the ball for a long time and summarily created a lot of opportunities without managing, however, to find the breakthrough. In the first period, OL's shots were consistently repelled by an imperious Chavas (12 ', 32', 37 ', 41' and 42 ') and also failed to convert a penalty by Amel Majri which sailed over the bar (22'). But if the goalkeeper thought she was beyond reproach, having deflected a beautiful strike from Parris onto her crossbar (56 '), luck finally turned in favor of  OL.

Denied by an obvious foul a few minutes before which had deprived Ada Hegerberg of her fifteenth goal of the campaign (67 '), Wendie Renard finally found the net on a corner kick by Dzsenifer Marozsan, getting on to a header at the back post with the help of the upright (75', 1-0). Faced with a truly toothless Burgundy side, which would fail to put Sarah Bouhaddi to the test, OL continued to impose themselves and even sealed their success thanks to a second goal scored by Shanice van de Sanden, perfectly played in by Amandine Henry (90 + 4 ', 2-0).

Even if nothing was simple today, it was with a well-deserved victory that OL put an end to a very succesful 2019. After two final training sessions at the beginning of next week, Lyon, who have Eugénie Le Sommer back after a month on the sidelines, will be able to enjoy their vacation with a clear conscience. Leaders of D1 Arkema, qualified for the quarterfinals of the Women's Champions League and winners of the first Trophée des Championnes in history, they still have titles to look forward to winning next year. And to reach their goals, they will have to recharge their batteries fully to start again at the same pace.
