Ballon d'Or : Ada Hegerberg has a double in her sights
On 3 December 2018, OL's Norwegian forward Ada Hegerberg became the first female Ballon d'Or winner. If the competition looks tough this year, the attacker has several tricks up her sleeve that can tip the scales for her.
Since her arrival from Turbine Potsdam in 2014, the Norwegian has made us accustomed to her very high standards. For example, the season that was her least prolific for OL took place in 2016-2017, with "only" 27 goals in all competitions. Scoring with such unheard-of regularity allows her to be the best number 9 in the world, and she is proving it again this season with already 19 goals scored ...
The ceremony took place on December 3 with the famous Ballon d'Or rewarding the talent of the 24-year-old. However, this is far from being satiated, like an Olympique Lyonnais side whose appetite seems endless. An ideal candidate to repeat the honor, she has going for her the formidable treble achieved with the club last year: D1, Coupe de France and the Women's Champions League, with a hat-trick in the final against FC Barcelona (4-1).
