Rudi Garcia : « Il faudra jouer à fond pour gagner »
As the Olympico approaches, Rudi Garcia appeared at a press conference to answer journalists' questions. Find his comments in full on OL PLAY.

The state of the squad

Memphis is injured. Lucas Tousart is suspended. Kenny Tete and Marcal will certainly not be ready. I trust the players who will replace them. We can change the system, the players are prepared. I need a squad at 100% for the match.

The Olympico

OL and OM are two big teams. This is one of the big matches in the championship of France. When confronting each other it is always interesting to see what comes about. You have to play hard to win.

A winning run

I am in the mindset of a coach with a team that is much better. I asked them to put together a series of wins and that's how we will go up the rankings. OL can not be in 10th place in the table.

The return of confidence

It's a lot better thanks to the consecutive wins. Serenity is back, but do not think you can relax. We must show against Marseille that we are able to hold on to this run of form. We hope to finish the week well.

The captaincy

We'll have to appoint a captain. You must not have only a single leader. We must have several. There is a captain and vice captains who are equally important.

Playing 4-4-2

This is not a system made only for Memphis. It is also for Moussa Dembélé and their relationship on the pitch. It is also made for the midfield, where Houssem Aouar is able to make the difference on the left side and for the duo of Lucas Tousart / Thiago Mendes to make a difference. We need everyone to do it.

On offensive and defensive plans

There is more and more togetherness, especially in communication. Defensively, we must be able to resist and not put our heads down but instead start again. We are pretty good mentally and we are together. The match against Benfica is proof. We have not yet qualified so we must remain humble.

Houssem Aouar

Houssem will be the captain against Marseille. He is listening. He demonstrated Tuesday the extent of his talent. He allowed us to beat Benfica. Technically he is above average. He can beat the  opposing players. He is intelligent. He must be more involved defensively. We must attack and defend together.
