Back from the international break, OL's women's team resumed normal service. With an entire group without any injuries, OL returned to the league in the best conditions. First in the rankings of D1 Arkema on level points with the Parisians, the women had no room to make mistakes if they wanted to maintain their leading position. The goal of the day is simple: win, not only not to see the PSG  take the lead in the championship, but also to prepare for the Round of 16 of the Women's Champions League against Fortuna Hjorring. For this, the players of Jean-Luc Vasseur welcomed Paris FC (5th), the other capital club, as part of the fifth matchday of the league.

The first minutes are well-balanced with Les Parisiennes playing on the front foot. But to no one's surprise, OL quickly imposes itself on the match by settling in the opponents' half of the pitch. The match is closely fought and the visitors commit a lot of mistakes without ever being punished. Lyon have several opportunities to open the score on set pieces but suffer from a lack of finishing. OL have the opportunity to put the ball into the area and attempt headers, but nothing works -- their accuracy is lacking. Just before half-time, Elodie Coppola points to an umpteenth corner for OL, synonymous with a last chance to score. And after too many unsuccessful attempts, Wendie Renard finally found the net (45 ', 1-0) and sent her team to the locker room with the advantage.

After the interval, the match is perfect. Like her teammate just before the whistle, Ada Hegerberg has a deflected header and sends it to the back of the net. The second half is one way. Faced with physically blunt opponents, the proteges of Jean-Michel Aulas bury the hopes of Paris with a third goal from Eugénie Le Sommer. After a first strike, Gridge Mbock recovers the ball, dribbles to get back on her right foot and gives a lovely pass to her number 9 who only has to push the ball into the bottom of the goal. The score could have been even heavier, but the opposing goalkeeper won a one-on-one against Nikita Parris. This is only a moment's respite; six minutes later, Ada Hegerberg does not flinch and achieves her double. The Norwegian becomes the third top scorer of Olympique Lyonnais ahead of Camille Abilly with 210 goals.

After an indifferent first half, despite a goal, Lyon have corrected the problem and come back with better intentions. For the 100th match of Delphine Cascarino for OL, the side of Jean-Luc Vasseur has shown character and put itself in good shape for the trip to Denmark.

Wendie Renard

"We had to fight. We had very few opportunities to open the score. Scoring just before half-time is good for the team and bad for the opponent. This kind of match is a little mis-representative, but we have mastered the second half. "

Amandine Henry

"In this kind of match, the hardest thing is to score the first goal. We wanted to attack hard in the second half and play our game. We played a mental game. I feel very good, I have less pain in my Achilles. I am happy to be on the pitch again. "

Delphine Cascarino

"I'm really happy to have made my 100th appearance for OL. At the beginning of the first period we had a hard time getting into the game; there were a lot of tactical fouls by the opposition that broke up our rhythm. Sometimes we tried to play the ball long but it was not easy to manage its trajectory with the wind. "

Ada Hegerberg

"It feels good to come back after the break. Wendie Renard's goal did us a lot of good. It's a solid victory against Paris FC. It was important to stay calm, to continue playing fast and attack the opponent. "
