U17 NAT : Un derby reçu 5 sur 5 et une place de leader (5-1)
The U17 hosted ASSE this Sunday afternoon, as part of the fifth day of the championship. Find all the goals on OL Play.

The season has barely begun and Lyon are already playing a crucial game as it relates the rest of their season. This meeting at Groupama OL Training Center was a triple challenge for the players of Amaury Barlet and Jérémie Bréchet. First of all, there is this derby, so special against a big regional rival. Then, it was also an important match in terms of the table; in case of victory or draw, OL would take sole control of the championship. Finally, what could be more beautiful than to inflict a fifth defeat in six matches to the sworn enemy and push them, a little more, in the lower reaches of the table.

The first act of this derby disputed between a Lyon team that had control of the ball and trying to build play; on the other side were a Saint-Etienne who exploited the slightest loss of the ball by clearing quickly. The battle is bitter, the duels fierce but it was the hosts who scored first with a marvel of a goal by Sekou Lega in the 25th minute who picked out the top corner. A deserved goal for Lyon who realizes a solid and convincing first period. Defensively, the OL managed ASSE's forays forward while Mathieu Patouillet saved well when called into action

The teammates of Gaël Nsombi started perfectly the second period as the Lyon captain made the breakthrough in the 52nd minute, picked out by Sekou Lega, author of a drive down the left side. ASSE were completely overwhelmed and losing the battle of the midfield: El Arouch took the opportunity to beautifully play the ball out the ball of his side of the pitch, find a runner in the middle and play a marvelous pass for Sekou Lega who scored twice. The charges of Amaury Barlet and Jérémie Bréchet respected their opponent and continued to play, which allows Marley Felix to open his account this season following a score that beat Les Verts defense shortly thereafter. At the end of the match, Gaël Nsombi took advantage of a new error by the visitors' defense to also notch a double and raise the score to 5-0.

5 games, 5 wins, 5 goals in the derby ... An ideal start to the season for Lyon who take sole control of the championship after a poor performance on the part of the players of CF Annecy.
