Nabil Fekir leaves OL: Thank you, captain!

Nabil Fekir's Olympique Lyonnais tenure officially came to an end Monday after he was transferred to Real Betis of Spain, along with younger brother Yassin. OL's brilliant captain overcame a serious knee injury 2015 to earn the armband - and his place in club lore with his incredible skills and legendary scores. Goals against Bastia, Caen, Saint-Etienne, Paris and Manchester City are just a few that come to mind when looking back at Fekir's glorious career with Lyon that began at the age of 12 at the club's Academy. In total, Nabil played over 200 matches, notching 69 goals.
Widely recognized for his on the field brilliance, the Lyon native was way more than that. He's left an indelible mark at the club with his generosity to the OL Foundation, his warm smile, his availability and his great kindness. All the more reason to celebrate Fekir's brilliant time at Olympique Lyonnais.
