OL Féminin unveil four new signings
Katriina Talaslahti – Goalkeeper, 18 years old, Finland, Bayern Munich – Three-year contract
The 18-year-old goalie - who'll turn 19 on September 21 - has already been crowned German Second Division Champion as a starter with the Bayern Munich reserves, two seasons after a winning national title with the U17s and four seasons after arriving in Bavaria from Nuremberg. The native of Espoo, near Helsinki, has also been capped with Finland at the U19 level. A very promising keeper.
I feel really good, it's a big step in my life to get a chance to even come here. I feel ready for it.
Janice Cayman – Midfielder, 30 years old, Belgium, Montpellier – Two-year contract
Janice Cayman arrives at OL with impressive credentials. A veteran of four clubs in her native Belgium (Excelsior Kaart, Lentezon Beerse, OH Leuven, KVK Tienen), the midfielder - who has represented her country at the national level for over a decade - has also plied her trade in the United States (Pali Blues, Florida State, Western New York Flash, with whom she won the National Womens Soccer League). She made the move to France in 2012 by signing with Juvisy, where she stayed until 2016 before joining her most recent club: Montpellier (69 games, 23 goals). Cayman was named Belgian Player of the Year in 2017.
It's an honor to be able to play for the biggest club in Europe. I want to play and win titles.
Nikita Parris – Forward, 25 years old, England, Manchester City – Three-year contract
OL now has a 16th player at the Women's World Cup with the arrival of Nikita Parris. An international teammate of Lucy Bronze, the 25-year-old striker has already scored a goal for the Lionesses at the tournament currently taking place in France. The now former Manchester City star is coming off a stellar season in which she notched 19 goals and seven assists in 19 games. An FA Women's Super League champion in 2016, the same year she won the domestic cup, Parris also lifted the FA Cup with City in 2017 and 2019. Now she joins an already stacked Lyon lineup ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
I'm really excited to be joining your fantastic club. I can't wait to get started, but until then I will prepare hard, prepare well to make sure that I'm ready.
Jessica Silva - Forward, 24 years old, Portugal - Levante – Two-year contract
A versatile attacker who finished in third place with Levante last season in Spain, Silva is taking the next step in her career with OL. After coming up the ranks at Clube de Albergaria, she made her debut with the Portuguese national team in 2011 in qualifiers for the Euro 2013 tournament. She lasted three more years in Albergaria before joining Swedish club Linköpings 2014 for a six-month spell. A return to her first club followed before she signed with Braga in 2016. Then, in 2017, came a move to Levante, her home for the next two years. Now it's her time to shine in D1 Féminine with Olympique Lyonnais.
I'm feeling so happy because Lyon is a really great step in my life. I think it's the dream team for every player. I really want to get started and meet all the girls.
