Wendie Renard the difference maker as France tops Group

Corinne Deacon once again has Olympique Lyonnais players to thanks. A few days after Eugenie Le Sommer sent France into the Women's World Cup knockout stage, Wendie Renard played the hero Monday night by scoring the lone penalty to give Les Bleues a 1-0 win over Nigeria and first place in Group A with a perfect three victories in as many games. In addition to Renard, Lyon teammates Sarah Bouhaddi, Griedge Mbock, Amel Majri, Amandine Henry and Delphine Cascarino also started the match in Rennes, while Le Sommer came on in the second half.
