Olympique Lyonnais left the Matmut Atlantique with all three points and a second straight win Friday night thanks to a 3-2 comeback victory over Bordeaux. Memphis put Les Gones ahead early on with a clinical finish in the 14th minute, only for the hosts to turn the scoreboard on its head with two goals (Briand 34', Préville 38') in four minutes and make OL fans fear the worst ahead of the second half.
Those fears were unfounded, however, as Lyon took control of the proceedings once again and leveled the score on Cornet's 67th-minute tap-in. The momentum shifted decisively the visitors' way when Bordeaux went down to 10 men six minutes later after Jovanovic saw a straight red for insulting the assistant referee. With five minutes to go, Dembele scored a true poacher's goal to put OL back in the lead for good and secure three vital points that allow Bruno Genesio and company to keep their distance from Saint-Etienne and Marseille, while putting pressure on second-place Lille.
