Lyon's coach gave his post-match verdict after Wednesday's elimination in the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona.
I saw us suffering a lot in the first period. Barça put enormous pressure on us, and we didn't know how to respond. In the second half we were better. We were able to recover the ball higher, by posing problems for them and pulling a goal back. Unfortunately, Barça scored their third goal at that moment. It hurt us a lot and it boosted Barça's spirits. When Messi is at such a level, he is almost unstoppable. He's one of the best players of all time, a genius. He carried his team tonight. Antho (Lopes) lost consciousness, but didn't want to leave the match. Finally, doctor kept on asking me to take him out so as not to take any chances.
