Groupama Stadium hosts seminar for FBA Masters' students
A partner of Olympique Lyonnais since 2018, the FBA offers specialized training in the football industry in Geneva (Sales, Strategy, Sponsoring, Events, ...). As part of this partnership, a seminar was organized at Groupama Stadium to allow students to discover the club's business model and structuring.
Students of different nationalities (Ghana, Nigeria, Germany, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, USA, Italy...) attended a presentation of OL's economic model through several related topics such as training via the OL Academy, the development of women's football, CSR and the OL Foundation, as well as the development strategy set up around the stadium with its related OL City projects.
Several speakers presented the club's overall strategy and highlights:
Cyrille Groll, Director of Business Development, presented the commercial activities of the club and stadium.
Clément Michon, Head of International Relations projects, spoke about OL's different partnerships around the world.
Maelle Trarieux, Head of Club Sponsorship, presented the club's CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy and OL Foundation projects.
Vincent Ponsot, Director of HR and Sports Administration, spoke about the projects related to OL's women's team, as well as the development of women's football in general.
Xavier Pierrot, Stadium Director, explained the organization, logistics and management set up for various sporting and cultural events organized at the stadium
The students were able to exchange ideas with the speakers to better understand this new structural model, as well as discuss their own personal projects.
To close out the visit, the group took part in a guided tour with guide speaker Anthony Jaffre to get a first-hand look at the club's facilities and OL City projects.
