The Brazilian OL legend will work alongside Youri Djorkaeff and Didier Drogba to increase the profile of French football around the globe.

Joining the likes of Youri Djorkaeff and Didier Drogba, Edmilson has been named new ambassador of the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The Olympique Lyonnais legend will undertake several league-related projects, participating in international fairs, tournaments and events organized by the LFP and its partners to promote Ligue 1 Conforama internationally.

A World Cup winner with Brazil, Edmilson joined OL on September 6, 2000, winning three French league titles (2002, 2003, 2004), a Coupe de la Ligue (2001) and a Trophée des Champions (2003).

I am very honored to join the LFP as an ambassador, especially alongside two great players like Yuri and Didier. The French championship gave me a lot. Thanks to France and OL, I was able to have the career that I had. By becoming an ambassador for Ligue 1 Conforama, I will be able to contribute to the work of the LFP-related teams to develop the image of this beautiful championship internationally.
