OL-Barcelona draws near-record crowd at Groupama Stadium

A total of 57,889 fans watched Tuesday's Champions League scoreless draw - the second-highest turnout for an Olympique Lyonnais match in the stadium's history.

It was a night to remember, if only for the incredible atmosphere. A total of 57,889 fans jammed into Groupama Stadium for Tuesday's Champions League showdown between OL and Barcelona, making noise throughout the entire 90 minutes - and beyond. In fact, the crowd began chanting as soon as Les Gones hit the pitch for warm-ups, unveiling a majestic tifo in the stands that almost erupted when Martin Terrier's long-range shot hit the crossbar in the early minutes. It was the second-largest attendance in Groupama Stadium history, second only to the 58,069 spectators on hand to watch the derby versus Saint-Etienne on February 25, 2018.
