Lyon's 20-year-old midfielder, who watched many a Barcelona game growing up , is calling tomorrow's Champions League Round of 16 first leg against the Blaugranas the most important he's yet to play as a professional footballer.

Preparing for Barça

"We're very motivated. At my age, we dream of playing these kinds of matches. It's going to be a big challenge, but we can't wait for it. I don't know if we'll play a great match tomorrow, but playing at home, in front of our fans, gives us a slight advantage. Every team has flaws, the coach has emphasized this. We need to exploit them tomorrow ... We will give everything tomorrow, playing without fear. We will play with confidence."

Big-time performances

"Our performances in these kinds of games give us a lot of confidence. FC Barcelona are a different team, but we have to use what we did before. Personally, I really believe in this team. We know what we're capable of. We must be sure of ourselves and determined to get a good result."

A special match

"It's true that when I was little I often watched Barça games. It's a great institution and it will be the biggest match of my young career... I won't get caught up in the media craze. So there is a lot of excitement... It will be a special game for me because I have watched a lot of Barça games... We have to attentive, even more than usual. But we must approach this meeting with confidence, as we know how to deal with big teams."

Fekir's absence

"We know that Nabil will be missed. He is our star player, but we have other experienced guys who are able to take over. Our squad has quality and quantity.

Mendy vs. Messi

"Ferland is ready. He's shown his quality since the beginning of the season. He will face one of the best players in the world, but we trust him."
