Barcelona's manager and midfielder Sergio Busquets spoke to the press ahead of Tuesday's Champions League Round of 16 first leg against Olympique Lyonnais at Groupama Stadium.

Thoughts on OL

"OL are playing at home and we are expecting a tough match tomorrow. This team plays offensively and will try to create problems for us in front of their fans. Lyon have many talented players, but we also have a quality workforce and we will play our game with the intention of winning. It's a tough competitionm but challenges are made to be met. We must give the best of ourselves because it will be difficult. At the time of the draw, everyone told us that they were the best possible opponent."

A surprising team

"OL have very important players, there's no doubt about it. [Ferland] Mendy is a very good fullback, [Nabil] Fekir is essential, Memphis is very important. But what I like most is that OL attack a lot and will put a lot of pressure to prevent us from playing. And I love that. Mendy and [Houssem] Aouar are great players... There are always rumors around our club, but we must respect our opponents. Fekir manages the offensive game of the team, and we'll try to take advantage of his absence."

Champions League goals

"We want to win this competition, like all the teams that are still in the running. But we must think about this game before looking further."

Thoughts on OL

"OL are a good team, with a lot of offensive potential that creates imbalances. They know how to take advantage of spaces. We will have to prevent them from playing by finding our own solutions. We have a lot of respect for OL. We know what they did against the big guys, like PSG and Manchester City. But we are no longer in group stage or in the league. It will be different on Tuesday. We've seen videos of them and we are ready to face them."

Barça's current form

"Each match must be analyzed differently. The Champions League is a higher competition. In La Liga, we are in an excellent position. We've managed to keep our opponents at bay... We don't want to lose or draw, we just want to win tomorrow, as is the case in every game. But no team wins all their matches. The past doesn't interest us anymore, we must look to the next game. We will have to show different things, but with a certain optimism."

Recent Champions League disappointment

"The way we were eliminated last year was extremely painful. But we have a lot of ambition. We don't want a repeat of what happened, we want to go as far as possible. "
