After Guingamp-OL: Tanguy Ndombele's midfield masterclass

Tanguy Ndombele's star continues to rise with every performance, including a Man-of-the-Match display in Thursday's 2-1 Coupe de France Round of 16 win over Guingamp. Playing his 32nd game of the season, the 22-year-old midfielder was all over the Stade de Roudourou pitch: distributing the ball with flair, breaking up the opposition's attacks, making piercing runs deep into enemy territory and even coming close to scoring with several dangerous shots on goal. According to Opta, the French international won the most balls (12) - just one indicator of his incredible work rate throughout the 90 minutes.

Thursday's match was also a reunion of sorts for Ndombele, who came through the Guingamp Academy (2011-2014) before making the jump to the pros. And the Stade de Roudourou holds a special place in his heart as well: it's here where he made his debut with Les Bleus last year in a 2-2 draw with Iceland. The highlights keep on coming for OL's rising star...
