Bruno Genesio : « Cela dépend beaucoup de nous »
Lyon's coach spoke to the media on the eve of Thursday's Coupe de France Round of 16 clash with Guingamp.

Injury report

"Rafael is back in training. He'll be with the reserves this weekend, we hope he can play a half or a bit more Everybody else is available, except Amine Gouiri."

Are changes to be expected?

"There will certainly be some changes depending on certain player. But the goals are the same."

The Coupe de France

"I said that this team deserves to win a trophy... Guingamp are a Cup team. They're playing the final of the Coupe de la Ligue. We have to be ready and show the same commitment that we did on Sunday. Although it can sometimes be annoying, our team is a football-playing saying. We must display the same degree of motivation if we want to continue our journey. It depends a lot on us. The players were traumatized by the elimination against Strasbourg [in the Coupe de la Ligue] because they really want to win something."

The current group dynamic

"We're going through a good period, but I've learned to be careful. I tend to say that we are improving, that we are moving forward. But it's the future that will tell us. The [win against] PSG is behind us. The most important thing is what happens now... Based on our recent performances, we know we can do great things. The team is improving. We're growing, we're maturing. We must be even more demanding with ourselves."

Villefranche – PSG

"I went to see their training training yesterday... I started coaching at Villefranche. It's a nice reward for the club. They have the potential to be a little higher, you never know. You have to play your game and not have any regrets."

A more media-friendly OL

"For a long time I refused to have pictures taken inside the locker room. The new director of the channel [OLTV] convinced me of the benefits of showing fans how the squad works and prepares for matches. I'm not a fan of all this, but this is the age we live in. I hope that pleases people - that's the idea."

Player signings

"We don't talk enough about the job that Florian Maurice does. We are very close, we have the same vision of things. The club is patient when it comes to signing players. We give more these young players more time to integrate, to adapt. We realize that this is the right method. The club has made a lot of progress in this area and that explains our recruitment success... The situation has always been clear with Léo Dubois. He has always worked hard... He has been rewarded."

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa's situation

Mapou is training with the Pro 2 side and has played a few matches. I have no information about the transfer window. His state of mind is irreproachable. He's a part of our locker room. It's a difficult situation for him. He's still the same person. It pains me to see a player of this age not being able to express himself on the pitch. I hope he finds a club."
