Four days after snatching a last-gasp, 2-1 derby win, Olympique Lyonnais kept the good times rolling Thursday night by beating Amiens 2-0 to advance to the Coupe de France Round of 16.

Bruno Genesio made six changes to the team that pulled off the late miracle at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard - including Moussa Dembélé, who scored the game winner over Saint-Etienne. And just before the half-hour mark (28', 0-1), the red-hot striker made it three goals in as many games by making the most of a perfect through ball from Nabil Fekir with a cool, low finish to put the visitors ahead. The captain was involved in Lyon's second goal just seven minutes later (35', 0-2), with Dreyer only partially blocking his close-range shot and leaving a rebound that Léo Dubois pounced on. The fullback celebrated by gesturing towards the sky in honor of former Nantes teammate Emiliano Sala...

Everything was going perfectly for Lyon until Fernando Marçal was a shown a straight red card just before the break for an off-the-ball incident with Timite. Back from the locker room,  Genesio's players handled their numerical inferiority perfectly and turned the second half into an uneventful final 45 minutes. Not quite as spectacular the derby, but definitely less stressful. A rather run-of-the-mill night that allowed Les Gones to move on in the cup and keep their confidence high ahead of Sunday's Ligue 1 Conforama match against... none other than Amiens, of course!

Lyon have been straight-up road warriors in domestic cup action. Thursday night's win at the Stade de la Licorne punched their ticket to the French Cup Round of 16, where they'll visit Guingamp on February 6. Said match will be their 15th away from home in their last 16 games in the competition.
