Toulouse – OL : Dos au mur, l’OL s’est arraché pour ramener un point avant le derby (2-2)
The captain assisted Moussa Dembele and scored a spectacular, 87th-minute free kick as Lyon fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw Wednesday night ahead of this weekend's derby versus Saint-Etienne.

Winless in their last two matches, Lyon looked to get back on track while also closing the gap on second-place Lille with a victory Wednesday night at Toulouse. Despite the urgency of their situation, Les Gones lacked any type of spark in the opening minutes, while the home side took an early lead on Durmaz's 12th-minute opener. Chances would eventually come their way in the ensuing minutes, but things didn't quite click for Bruno Genesio's men, who went into the break down a goal.

With his players wasting additional chances in the second half and the clock ticking, Genesio decided to sent in Fekir and Ndombele and switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation in hopes of giving his squad an offensive boost. Defensively, however, OL still struggled and conceded a penalty after Denayer was called for a hand ball, allowing Durmaz to convert from the spot. With their backs against the wall, the visitors reacted almost immediately when third and final sub Dembélé pulled one back with a slick finish in front of a charging Reynet. Then, with just three minutes remaining, Fekir leveled the score with a brilliant free kick to the upper right corner. Lyon flirted with a third, winning goal during the seven minutes of stoppage time, but in the end were forced to settle for a point. All things considered, it was more than welcome ahead of Sunday's highly anticipated derby at Saint-Etienne.

With Wednesday night's draw, OL have lost only two of their last 16 matches in Ligue 1 Conforama (seven wins and seven draws), after losing two of their first four games of the season. Despite a defensive deficit, with only one clean sheet in 10 games, and a noticeable lack of offensive efficiency, Les Gones have managed to grind out results of late.
