Genesio names youthful squad for Coupe de France clash with Bourges

After three days of intense training under the sun in Algorfa, Spain, OL are set to play their first match of 2019 on Saturday night against National 3 side Bourges Foot in the Coupe de France Round of 64.

While 27 players in total worked under the supervision of Bruno Genesio and his staff during the mid-season training camp, only 18 will make the trip to Bourges. Some of the most notable absences include Nabil Fekir, Memphis (suspended), Rafael, Maxwell Cornet, Jérémy Morel, Lucas Tousart and Amine Gouiri, who is continuing his long-term rehab from a serious knee injury. On the other hand, the Lyon coach will be able to count on young prospects such as Oumar Solet, Lenny Pintor, Yassin Fekir and Maxence Caqueret - the latter coming off signing his first professional contract.
