Sondage : Tanguy Ndombele élu révélation de l’année 2018 !
Ndombele took in 47% of the votes, ahead of Houssem Aouar (34%) and Ferland Mendy (19%).

1. Tanguy Ndombele, (47% of the vote)

Here's a figure that best sums up Tanguy Ndombele's importance to Bruno Genesio's squad since his arrival in the summer of 2017: Prior to missing OL's 3-0 win over Monaco on December 16 due to injury, the midfielder had participated in each one of the team's 54 previous matches in all competitions. It marked the end of a long and notable streak for a footballer who just turned 22 today.

His birthday also coincides with being named OL Breakthrough Player of the Year for 2018. Considered one of the sport's top rising stars in his position, Ndombele proves it with every ball he touches, whether it's creating chances on offense or shutting down opponents in his own half of the pitch. These qualities have earned him plaudits from fans, colleagues and experts alike, and even earned him his first call-up from France National Team manager Didier Deschamps.

Already caped 11 times with the U21s, Ndombele made his first team debut with Les Bleus last October in a 2-2 draw with Iceland, making three more appearances (against Germany, Uruguay and the Netherlands). Right now, the sky's the limit for one of football's top up-and-comers.

2. Houssem Aouar, (34%)

OL's top scorer in L1 this season with six goals, eighth in the voting for the Kopa Trophy, second only to Kylian Mbappé in offensive production among footballers 20 years old or less playing in Europe's Big 5 leagues since the start of last season (12 goals, six assists), and a member of the Champions League breakout team of the year... it's safe to say that Houssem Aouar has been a true revelation in 2018. And this is probably just the beginning.

3. Ferland Mendy, (19%)

Anther recent addition to the France National Team, Ferland Mendy recently got the nod from Deschamps thanks to his impressive performances with Lyon. Named the top left back in Ligue 1 Conforama last season, the 23-year-old continues to improve with each performance - even scoring his first goals this campaign with OL - against Caen and Monaco.
