Houssem Aouar : « un derby, c’est avant tout la victoire »
Lyon's midfielder faced the media on the eve of Friday's derby against Saint-Etienne.

The derby

It's a pretty special match for us. We will have to answer a lot of aspects. This is the most important match for our supporters. As Lyon players, we are aware of what's at stake. Our opponents are aware as well. It will be a tough match. We'll have to be on our game from the opening whistle. All victories in a derby are beautiful... We'll try to play an attractive match.

His current form

I've recovered well from a knee problem that had been bothering me for a long time... The sophomore season is always tougher. There are more demands. This is a fact. I didn't become a scorer (laughs). I've improved in transitions. I'm very active in offense... I'm working to improve in front of goal.

They're a point behind us. It's pretty tight right now. We will try to widen the gap tomorrow. I've seen some of their matches. They're a team that in shape even though it's harder for them away from home. Tomorrow will be a special match. There's a lot at stake, but in the end it's all about the three points.

Team France

I haven't asked myself that question yet. I'm not here to talk about the national team
