OL announce squad for Youth League opener at Man City

OL return to the Youth League two years after their last campaign. In 2016-17, Les Gones finished third in the group stage behind Sevilla and Juventus, and ahead of Dynamo Zagreb - a three-win, three-loss run that wasn't enough to continue their European adventure.
This season, Lyon are entering the prestigious competition with a young and promising squad that will do battle with the likes of Manchester City, Hoffenheim and Shakhtar Donetsk. And just like their first-team counterparts, the players of Stéphane Roche and Gilles Rousset will travel to Manchester for their first meeting on Wednesday.
On Monday, the youngsters met at the Groupama OL Training Center for a final rehearsal before flying to England the following day. The squad is composed of three players from the 1999 generation (Barcola, Devarrewaere, Rafia), nine 2000-born younsgters (Bard, Caqueret, P. Kalulu, Mayounga, Ndicka, Perrier, Pintor, Solet, Soumaré), three from 2001 (Augarreau, Margueron, Minolien), one 2002 (Thomas) and two generation 2003 players (Cherki, Da Silva).
OL will have to make due without Amine Gouiri, Quentin Vieira, Mathis Louiserre and Reo Griffiths - who are all ruled out due to injury, but will still be travelling with the team to England.
