D1 Féminine : L’OL Féminin réussit ses débuts en s’imposant avec brio face à Lille (0-8)
Ada Hegerberg and Amel Majri both netted braces as six different players got on the scoresheet in Sunday's emphatic 8-0 win in Match Day 1 of D1 Féminine.

OL's women's team showed absolutely no signs of rust in Sunday's season opener, with the defending D1 Féminine champions cruising to a 8-0 win at LOSC in a match they controlled from start to finish.

With assistant coach Charles Devineau calling the shots on the sidelines in place of the suspended Reynald Pedros, Lyon barely noticed the absences of their captain Renard and Marozsan. The strong OL Starting XI included summer signings Christiansen and Simon, with the latter sending a perfect cross that Hegerberg headed into the back of the net to open the score (5 ', 0-1). Then it was van de Sanden who turned provider for Majri (12 ', 0-2) before the Dutch winger increased the visitors' lead before halftime (33', 0-3).

Hegerberg wasted little time after the break, bagging a brace seconds after play restarted (46 ', 0-4), while Christiansen (64', 0-5) and teenager Eva Kouache both opened their OL scoring accounts (76 '). Henry (72', 0-6), Bronze (87 ', 0-7) and Majri, who scored a brace of her own in extra time (90 + 1, 0-8), put the finishing touches on an emphatic victory.

Reynald Pedros:

"It's very good to start like this. We prepared ourselves to be ready immediately. Offensively we played a very interesting match, with quality and movement. We were a little off in the first half but improved as the match progressed. We played with respect for our opponent. It was a complete performance. I congratulated my players. I enjoyed myself, I really enjoyed myself. The contribution of Lucy (Bronze) and Caro (Simon) on the sides allows us to find width and depth. They play a very important role."

Ada Hegerberg:

"We're happy to be back in the competition because we worked hard during the preseason. We work all season to win our matches and our training sessions are very demanding. Every game is important, they allow us to improve. There are always things to work on: some adjustments to make, movements, it all comes with work."
