Bruno Genesio : « J'ai aimé notre état d'esprit collectif »
Lyon's coach and his players spoke to OLTV after Sunday's 2-0 victory over Amiens in Match Day 1 of Ligue 1 Conforama.

Bruno Genesio:

We were not surprised by Amiens. We knew that they're well organized, compact and manage the ball well. This is the first match... We must still do better in our weaker moments. We had technical quality, we had a lot of chances and we could have scored two more goals. I enjoyed our collective state of mind. It's a positive victory. Watching nearly 50,000 spectators at the stadium in August shows that OL is a big club.

Gérald Baticle:

We hoped to put a lot of things in place to cause problems for Amiens, while remaining solid defensively. On the whole, we were better than them today. There is the satisfaction of taking these three points, but we need to continue this way in the future. There were some beautiful sequences of play today, despite Amiens playing defensively. But some of our defects have also resurfaced ... I have a lot of mixed feelings about Myziane. He has a lot of talent but needs playing time to reach the highest level. He would like to play more often and we can't really really guarantee that. One of the solutions was also to send him out on loan, but there are other economic factors that we don't control.

Léo Dubois:

It's a good feeling. We were keen to start the season well. It was complicated with the heat. We managed to recover in the second half. It was important because Amiens had several opportunities. It's always a pleasure to play in a stadium like this. I am happy on a personal level. I wanted to be strong defensively and bring a little offensively. There are still things to improve... We must continue to work on certain things. I linked up well with Bertrand Traoré. This is a good omen for the future. »

Martin Terrier:

I felt a lot of emotion when I entered the field ... What better way to start with OL than with a victory? We started in the best of ways, scoring early. Then Memphis put the game away. All matches are difficult in L1. We played against a well-rounded team, who gave everything from start to finish. The conditions were the same for both teams and we managed to get the upper hand.

Lucas Tousart:

We managed the tempo on the pitch, despite the complicated playing conditions. We still have a lot of things to improve, but we're happy to start with a win. This is just the beginning.

Bertrand Traoré:

I had a big chance before the goal that I didn't put away. I was lucky to have a second chance, a little more difficult, and score. My game is to provoke, to propose solutions for my teammates. I think I did welll. The important thing is the team and it's very good to have won this first match. As for goals, I just want to be decisive in every game.
