ICC: OL finding their stride in Miami

After a double session yesterday, Reynald Pedros and company were back at it Wednesday at the University of Barry sports complex. While there were no storms this time around, a stifling heat made training that much more intense for the squad on the eve of their International Women’s Champions Cup debut. “After being here three days, we’ve found our rhythm. It’s hot, that’s for sure, but we’re working well. We can’t wait to start the competition”, said Ada Hegerberg.
Along with her teammates in attack, the Norwegian striker divided her training in two: conditioning in the gym and finishing in front of goal outdoors on the pitch. All in order to fine-tune details ahead of Thursday’s (9 pm ET) showdown with Manchester City.
“They’re a very good opponent for us. We know them well. We’re in preseason mode but the goal, as always, is to win!”
An extra incentive to win for Hegerberg is the possibility of a tournament final date against PSG and sister Andrine, who’ll face North Carolina in Thursday’s other semifinals.
