Lyon's president called into OLTV after Sunday's draw with Montpellier.

Jean-Michel Aulas

« It is always difficult to take things away from watching matches on television because there is no emotional relationship with the group. There is less of a tendency to take into account the facts of the game. The weather conditions were difficult. We made two errors in the lead-up to the goal. Overall, there are more good things to take away than bad ones. I read things in the local papers that I didn’t like. OL have made a big investment in young players. We are still qualified in the Europa League, which is our main objective. Losing in Caen was of course disappointing, but it can not be analyzed as a poor performance. In cup matches, the home team always has an advantage. The group did not deserve this avalanche of excessive judgement. I liked the reaction that I saw today. The difference between a draw and a win is minimal. The pundits, especially the local ones, have disappointed me ... You have to be patient. We still have a lot of matches left, including against Marseille. The players and the coach are doing a good job. If this weren’t the case, I would say so. I remain confident in the ability of this team to reach our goals. »
