Anthony Lopes (goalkeeper): “This is a disaster. We showed desire at the start of the match but we petered out. They’re very technical players and pass well. We also had our chances but didn’t capitalise on them. There’s some cause for hope. There are still 90 minutes and we’ll need to aim for a 3-0 or 4-1 scoreline. We now need to digest this disappointment.”

Lucas Tousart: “It’s tough. The margin’s pretty heavy for the first leg of a semi. We made some mistakes and paid for them. We need to focus on the return leg. It’ll be a different situation and we need to play a crazy match to make the final. We were certainly in the game. They scored some goals and that made the rest of the game hard. It’s an awful, sad day for the club’s supporters.”

Alex Lacazette : “It was a frustrating match because they put us on the back foot right at the start. Afterwards, we stopped following the coach’s instructions and we didn’t calm things down. I told my teammates that I believe - and I hope that everyone does too. I returned to training on schedule, I worked well and don’t have any pain. I hope to start next Thursday, it’s important.”
