A win to finish

BACKGROUND
Apart from the desire to finish on a winning note, and perhaps set a club record for the number of goals scored in a Ligue 1 season (74), OL are already assured of finishing in second spot. Stade Rennais can still hope of climbing a position or two in the standings, but also of keeping hold of their current ninth place...
STARTING XIs
Alex Lacazette is suspended; Grenier, Jallet, Gourcuff and Bisevac all out with injury….. Yattara starts in attack alongside Fekir. For Rennes, Fernandes is also suspended, but Philippe Montanier still had option in selecting his starting Xi. He went with Konradsen and Grosicki in midfield with a 4-3-3 formation.
FIRST HALF
Yattara had the first chance of the match with a header from a Dabo cross. Fekir was brought down in the area, but Monsieur Kalt saw no penalty! OL controlled the ball. Stade Rennais were struggling; OL were playing very high. Grosicki had a chance to score when he got in behind (20'). Fekir was dangerous. Toivonen missed the unmissable from a Ntep assist… A truly incredible miss. Lopes was called into action by Ntep. Gonalons and Co. had the ball but weren't dangerous. In the end it was Rennes that had the best chances...
SECOND HALF
The wasn't much to report from the second half as both sides lowered the intensity... Ntep looked dangerous on the counterattack. N'Jie came on for Yattara. Benzia and Fofana were introduced for Ferri and Malbranque. N'Jie blasted over Costil's goal. The minutes ticked over... until that moment when Stade Rennais lost the ball and N'Jie scored the winner on the counter...
CONCLUSIONS
OL finished with a win… A great finish for a remarkable championship. Bravo to the whole team!
