Week 23 of Ligue 1

The big match is between Les Monégasques and Les Lyonnais and their steely defences. Needless to highlight the importance of this match. If Toulalan and Co. want to keep their faint title hopes alive, they need a win. No matter the result, OL are assured of holding onto top spot, and can possibly even extend their lead at the top. The Parisians, who play Rennes, and Marseille, who host ETG, will, in theory, be supporting Monaco. They will have played and hope to have piled the pressure onto Maxime Gonalons and Co.
FC Lorient are one of the sides hovering in around the relegation zone. They host an in-form MHSC which promises to be anything but easy. Same goes for FC Metz, bottom of the table, who entertain a Nice side coming off the back of three straight wins. Off colour Nantes and Lille clash with the chance to get moving forward again... The TFC are struggling and need to bounce back... can they do so against the Stade de Reims.
Lens and Bastia are fighting against the drop. Les Sang et Or will be looking to make up ground on the Corsicans. The points are crucial. The same goes for Caen who stunned Rennes last weekend and who will be looking t continue their rich vein of form against Saint-Etienne. Despite last weekend's loss to PSG, Les Verts are still in the hunt for a top three finish. And finally, Les Girondins are sitting comfortably in mid-table, but can they re-ignite a little ambition with a win over an entertaining and surprising Guingamp side, led by their in-form striker Beauvue?
