Week 22 of Ligue 1
Obviously, all eyes will be on Saint-Etienne when Les Verts play host to PSG. Not only third place is up for grabs! The home side will be looking for revenge for the Coupe de la Ligue exit two weeks ago, as well as the drubbing they received in the first meeting in the league. Can ASSE, with so many players missing, really worry the reigning French champions?
Can LOSC end Monaco's great current run? At their respective levels, both sides are trying to climb back up the table... OGCN have just recorded back to back wins. Can they make it three against OM? It won't be easy… Les Phocéens know they need to start picking up points away from home if they want to feature in the title race...
Bastia are going better, but aren't in the clear yet. They will be looking to continue their recent revival against a Bordeaux side that, despite a few hiccups in the last few weeks, remain in the top third of the table. Stade Malherbe travel to Rennes. The Normandy club are bottom of the table and desperately need the points. MHSC have changed weight divisions. They can continue to mix it with the big boys in the top half when they host FC Nantes, who just knocked OL out of the Coupe de France.
The Racing Club de Lens travel to Reims. The Northern side, second from bottom, have just lost to OL. Just a point would be a good result. The same goes for ETG and TFC who meet. And there's the Breton derby between an in-form EAG and an FC Lorient still looking over their shoulder.
As for the Ligue 1 leaders Olympique Lyonnais, they know this could be a great weekend for them... but first they have to beat a Metz side, hovering above the relegation zone...
