Episode 21: OL preserved top spot with victory over Lens… PSG and OM both won… ASSE dropped two points… And it's tight at the bottom…

OL made a winning start to live atop the Ligue 1 standings with all three points away to Lens in Amiens. OM and PSG both got back to winning ways to remain one point, and four points behind OL, respectively. Les Verts, who drew with Rennes, dropped two points. They are now fourth, five points from OL. ASM are a little further adrift.

OGCN had a good weekend, defeating Bordeaux, as did MHSC away to Metz. At the other end of the table, seven points separates 13th (EAG) and bottom (Stade Malherbe).

There were 28 goals scored in Week 21, including 7 penalties, 5 headers (2 for OM). All three goals in OM 2-1 EAG were scored in the last six minutes of regulation time.

Barrios scored all three goals for Montpellier against Metz.

Alexandre Lacazette netted his 20th league goal. He now has nine in his last 5 league games.

ASM haven't conceded a goal in their last six matches, or 611 minutes, of football.
