With just one win in September, Les Lyonnais failed to heal the wounds opened in August and a cascade of injuries did little to help the situation...

Four more defeats. That was the record for Les Lyonnais as they started the new month. They stopped the bleeding with two draws... two identical results, scoreless, but far from similar. The first, against Rennes at the Stade de Gerland, was another disappointing result. Just one point from three L1 matches... not enough.

However, OL brought back an excellent point from Bétis Séville in their first group match of the Europa League. But the team needed a win after six matches without a solitary win. It arrived just days later. Despite conceding the opening goal, Les Lyonnais dug deep and claimed all three points away to Nantes. A lucky result or a return to form?

The squad, suffering several injuries (Gourcuff, Bisevac, M.Lopes, Danic…), suffered another reverse in Corsica. Les Olympiens went down 2-1 to Ajaccio, a team struggling at the foot of the table. Lacazette, sent off in the final minutes, added his name to the list of unavailable players... the next game was a massive match...

The visit of Lille hardly saw the OL team approach the game full of confidence. OL were rarely dangerous but they picked up a good point from the draw. After seven games in Ligue 1, OL were sitting 11th...
