Without no less than nine France national team players during the international break, OL haven't been able to prepare in the best possible way for the potentially tricky trip away to Montpellier this weekend.
This big match will be played for the first time at the Stade de La Mosson and is the chance for OL to further cement their place at the top of the standings. With nine wins from as many matches, including 3-0 triumphs over Juvisy and PSG, Patrice Lair's players have the perfect record so far. But it remains to be seen whether the side can bounce back after the disappointment of the Champions League elimination.
This match in Montpellier is a real test of OL's ability to lift because Montpellier desperately need all three points. After losses to PSG (2-1) and Juvisy (2-1), Jean-Louis Saez's girls need a positive result if they are to feature in the race for the European spots. To do so, they wll be counting on the summer signings of Marina Makanza and Josephine Oqvist, and youngster Sandie Toletti.
OL coach Patrice Lair has left out two former Montpellier players in Sabrina Viguier and Mélissa Plaza, while Megan Rapinoe returns to the squad and youngsters Amel Majri and Eve Perisset have been given their chance.
