Les Lyonnaises land in Copenhagen

Olympique Lyonnais Women's squad touched down in Copenhagen at just after midday on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second clash against Brondby.

It was a 20-woman squad that arrived at Tola Vologe on Tuesday morning for the coach ride to the Saint-Exupery airport for the private flight to Copenhagen. Amandine Henry is suspended, Sandrine Dusang isn't yet fit enough and Amel Majri all missed out on the trip. Two and half hours later, Les Lyonnaises touched down in Copenhagen. A first cultural surprise? a hot dog stand in the baggage arrival hall. Obviously Patrice Lair's players did not dare investigate further...

Brondby brings back good memories for the OL coach, who qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League with a Montpellier side featuring Sonia Bompastor, Camille Abily and Elodie Thomis. After the 4-0 win in last Wednesday's first leg, Les Lyonnaises are looking to validate their tickets for the last four. They train at Brondby Stadion at 17:30 local time.
