Round 31 in the League. The big game of the weekend is between Bordeaux & Nancy… 2 games are postponed PSG – Strasbourg & St-Etienne – Lens because of the final of the Coupe de la Ligue…
Bordeaux – Nancy ? THE game of the 31st round. Nancy have the best defence in L1, will they be able to resist the second best attack in the country? This is a game that will tell as far as the finishing podium is concerned. Bordeaux will be under more pressure than Nancy, even if the team from the Sochaux are no longer in the relegation zone. All they have to do now is to take all the points available to them at home (24 from 42 possible) and they will be saved. Nice still have a chance of making Europe. Will they be able to make up the points they lost at home to Lorient ?

Le Mans are still in the running for Europe as well and Caenhave given themselves some breathing space after their victory over Monaco 4 - 1. Lille have been on a great run since their defeat to OL at the Stade de Franceand are now only 4 points away from a UEFA Cup spot! Auxerre aren’t safe yet, their defeat to St-Etienne at home has cooled their ardour. Metz – Toulouse ? Toulouse have no choice, they have to beat the bottom placed team and take all 3 points. Will we see Elmander reborn ?The Swede hasn’t scored in 12 games!

Lorient have 42 points and OM 46. A european spot is at stake at the Moustoir. Vahirua is out for the rest of the season for Lorient. OM have been in disappointing form in the last few weeks. It is high time they turned things around … Monaco are treading water dangerously : 8 matches without a win (3 points) and only 2 goals scored. Their priority is to assure they don’t get drawn into the relegation battle. Rennes are on a run of 5 games without defeat, 3 wins at home & 2 draws on the road. The Bretons have a small chance of making Europe.
