OL has won its last 3 titles by having a stronger away record than its nearest rivals… a look back…
Last season, OL took 41 of its 84 points away from Gerland. OM took only 23 of its 67 points on the road! The Marseillais had only 1 more point won at home than the Lyonnais, but in the end, there was a gulf of 17 points between the 2 sides!

In 2005-2006, OL won 39 of its 81 points on the road. Bordeaux took 26. At home, the Girondins won 40 points compared to OL’s 42. In the end, there was a 15 point gap.

In 2004-2005, OL won 35 of its 79 points away from home. Lille collected a mere 28 points. The Dogues amassed 39 points at home compared to OL’s 44. At the end of the season, there was a gap of 12 points.

In 2003-2004, the gap wasn’t so wide. OL won 35 of its 79 points on the road while PSG collected 33. At home, the Parisiens won 43 points compared to OL’s 44. In the end the gap was only 3 points.

In 2002-2003, OL nabbed only 27 of its final 66 points away from Gerland while Monaco did the same. OL won 41 points at home while the Monegasques had 40. The final gap? One point!

In 2001-2002, OL won 21 of its 66 points on the road while Lens did better with 27. But it was at home that OL made the difference: 45 points as opposed to the 37 points won by Lens. For their first title, the Olympiens won out with a lead of 2 points.
