France scored a precious 3-0 win over Georgia in their first match of the Euro 2008 qualifiers on Saturday. It was the perfect way to prepare for Wednesday's World Cup final rematch against Italy. Five Lyon players took part in the win.
At kick-off, three Lyon players were in the starting line-up: Grégory Coupet, Eric Abidal and Florent Malouda.
Les Bleus opened the scoring in the sixth minute through Florent Malouda. Earning his 12th cap, the Guyana-born star was again starting on the left wing and showed his teammates the way forward with a superb 23m strike. Louis Saha then added a second ten minutes later. After the break, Asatianiv scored an own-goal to complete the French scoring.

There were four Lyon players on the pitch when Sidney Govou replaced Franck Ribéry in the 69th minute. And then five when Sylvain Wiltord replaced Louis Saha in the 86th minute.
