Franck RIBERY accorded a long interview to the daily Parisien in which he confirmed the statement made by Président Jean-Michel AULAS before France left for Germany.
l’Olympique Lyonnais pride themselves on remaining prudent with their declarations, and despite comments made by Franck RIBERY that his priority is Lyon, the final decision remains with Marseille, for whom this transfer could nonetheless provide greater recruiting opportunities.

Given the situation, the club will wait until the end of the opening group phase of the World Cup before making a formal proposition with l’Olympique de Marseille.

In the interview, the young international declared: “Lyon is my priority,” before adding that the confidence with the owners “no longer existed.”
Franck Ribéry added that his decision to leave was based on his desire to progress as a footballer. “For the stability of my family and to play at the highest level, Lyon is the ideal club. L’OL want me to play for them next season. The challenge that they are offering me is more than interesting. Lyon are undoubtedly my priority for next season.”
