Karim Benzema suffered a crushed index finger after he got his hand caught in his car door on Friday afternoon, returning from training. Benzema was operated on later on Friday at the Edouard Herriot hospital in Lyon where the surgical unit performed a skin graft. The player will have to wait around ten days for the wound to heal before resuming training. Out of Sunday's derby, Benzema could miss the rest of the season. OL will be without three strikers for the derby with Florent Malouda, suspended and John Carew attending a funeral in Norway.
